How to Accept the Lemon Challenge:
The families above met at Seattle Children’s while their children fought for their lives battling high-risk cancer. During treatment, the families' bonds grew to immeasurable strength and all are now ready to make the difference they’ve always known they would make.
"Even in the depths of our journey, we always knew we needed to give back," said Kelli Williams, Isaac Williams’ Mother. "That we needed to fight for the families who have already fought, those who are currently fighting and all who have yet to begin their fight."
No parent ever wants to hear that their child has cancer. No parent ever wants to make the decisions they had to make in order to give their kid a second chance at life. No parent wants to hear that only 4% of cancer funding goes to helping scientists, doctors and researchers find better treatment and cures for children.
“Our kids deserve better treatments, and there’s no better way to help that become a reality than rolling up your sleeves and getting involved," said Jay Hix Jones, Hunter Rose’s Father. "And that’s exactly what we’re doing with The Lemon Challenge."
