Seattle Children’s launches trial aimed at solid cancer tumors

Seattle Children’s is working on immunotherapy for solid tumors like 8-year-old Mason's so that he and other kids can avoid harmful medicines and procedures. The STRIvE-01 trial is currently recruiting children with solid tumor cancers that either couldn’t be cured or reoccurred. “We’re trying to find a target that we will have success with our highest risk patients, the patients that we are really desperate to find better therapies for, our patients with relapsed refractory neuroblastoma and bone and soft tissue sarcomas,” said Dr. Katie Albert, assistant professor of sarcoma-focused research at Seattle Children’s and principal investigator of the STRIvE-01 trial.
